This print features my A Diamond Dozen: Lifetime Style Study of David Bowie artwork, published in Starman: Fans Say Goodbye to David Bowie and shown at the David Bowie Tribute Show presented by Super Rad Collective in 2016. The study was painted in watercolor on tea-stained paper depicts 12 selected years from 50 years of the artist’s life. Bowie’s style incarnations are in sequential order as follows: David Jones (’66), Life on Mars (’71), Ziggy Stardust (’72), Aladdin Sane (’73), Rebel Rebel (’74), Man Who Fell to Earth (’76), Thin White Duke (’80), Goblin King (’86), Earthling (’96), Heathen (’02), Nikola Tesla (’06), and Blackstar (’16).
