Blooming into Innovation at Lenovo: Women in Innovation Reception

On Juen 30th, I had the pleasure of being contracted by Lenovo, through Event Strategy Group, for their Women in Innovation reception during the ISTE + ASCD conference in San Antonio, at the historic Grand Promenade.

Working with Event Strategy Group on this activation was amazing. They provided vision boards and color ways early on and were very communicative throughout the process. I gave them a choice between four different thumbnail sketch options and provided a digital sketch prior to showing up in San Antonio for the event.

This 10′ x 8′ mural was painted on canvas inside the event venue using Montana Colors water-based aerosols. I started the piece a few hours before so I could finish within the first hour of the event, so everyone had time to get their group photos in front of it. And I could barely get the lettering stencils off the canvas before the ladies started lining up, excited to get their photo in front of the piece. I was also surprised and flattered by all the women who wanted to take a photo with me in front of it. It was really a lovely event and I was grateful to be a part of it.
