This was my third year live painting at Astronox and this time I summoned a mystical fallow deer creature for Valkyrie Dawn.
In 2024, Astronox was hosted at Valkyrie Ranch in Paige, TX. Inspired by the European fallow deer on the property, this piece features a winged, third eyed fallow deer relaxing across from a giant sunflower whose petals are fibonacci spiraling onto their back transforming into the spot pattern. This work is a sibling to Wisteria Moon, which I painted a couple of weeks beforehand.
This 8ft by 16ft mural was live painted, entirely in spray paint, over three days of the Astronox festival, in front of a crowd of 1000 people.
