On March 21, 2021, Unknown Collective held their RISE UP Pop-Up Exhibition, celebrating womxn-identifying artists for Women’s History Month, at Austin Winery. I was invited as a live painter, where I transformed a wine barrel into a Whale in a Wine Glass mini-mural during the event.
This event, co-curated by Marcella Colavecchio and Leah Bury, showcased the work of 37 artists, featuring 12 vendors and live music. I was one of the six selected live painters, who entertained the busy crowd throughout the 6-hour event. The barrel was painted entirely with spray paint, aside from the black outlines on the whale drawn with a paint marker.
