Wisteria Moon is a mural in celebration of and meditation on Austin’s ecosystem on the patio of Lustre Pearl East. Inspired by the various limestone-cradled natural springs we have around Austin and Texas native plants, this mystical white-tailed deer invites you to feel at peace while enjoying their lovely patio.
Texas native plants in this piece include Texas wisteria, juniper, lantana and fanwort. The moon is colored as I would a pearl, signifying the illustrious pearl in our big night sky. This project was my first time getting to paint on virgin cinderblock, so I was excited to play with a breakthrough wall effect.
This 12ft x 8ft mural was completed entirely in spray paint over 1.5 days.
